Cookstyhomestyle provides professional garden design services, including consultations, custom design plans, plant selection guidance, and implementation support for low-maintenance landscapes in New Zealand. Because our services involve custom intellectual work tailored to each client's specific property and preferences, our return policy reflects the unique nature of design services.

Cancellation Policy

Before Work Commences

Clients may cancel garden design services before work begins with full refund of any deposits paid, minus a small administrative fee. To cancel, please contact us at info@cookstyhomestyle.world or +64 27 224 8797 with your cancellation request. Cancellations must be submitted in writing via email for documentation purposes.

After Work Commences

Once we begin site analysis or design development, cancellations will result in charges for work completed to date. This includes site visits, measurements, soil analysis, research time, and any design concepts created. You will receive documentation of completed work and associated costs. Any remaining balance after deducting completed work charges will be refunded within 14 business days.

Partial Completion

If you cancel after receiving preliminary designs but before final completion, you retain rights to use preliminary concepts already delivered. However, you will not receive final detailed plans, planting specifications, or ongoing consultation support included in complete packages.

Revision Requests

All garden design packages include a specified number of revision rounds as outlined in your service agreement. Essential Garden Plans typically include one revision round. Full Property Garden Design includes two revision rounds. Premium Design Packages include three revision rounds. Additional revisions beyond the included amount may incur extra fees. Requesting revisions does not constitute cancellation and work continues under the original service agreement.

Service Guarantees

Design Quality

We guarantee that all garden designs will meet professional standards appropriate for New Zealand conditions and incorporate principles of low-maintenance landscaping. If designs fail to meet agreed specifications outlined in your service agreement, we will revise them at no additional cost until satisfaction is achieved.

Plant Recommendations

We carefully select plants suited to Auckland's climate and your specific site conditions. However, we cannot guarantee plant survival or growth rates as these depend on factors beyond our control, including weather variations, soil quality, installation methods, and ongoing maintenance. Our recommendations represent professional best practices based on available information.

Timeline Commitments

We strive to complete designs within estimated timeframes. If we exceed agreed timelines due to circumstances within our control, you may request partial refund or service credit. Timeline extensions required due to client delays in providing information or feedback do not qualify for refunds.

Non-Refundable Items

The following are non-refundable under all circumstances: Completed site analysis and assessment visits. Research time and plant selection work already performed. Design concepts and documentation already delivered to clients. Consultation time already provided. Third-party costs incurred on behalf of clients, such as soil testing fees. Administrative and processing fees.

Disputes and Resolution

If you are unsatisfied with any aspect of our garden design services, please contact us immediately at info@cookstyhomestyle.world. We are committed to addressing concerns promptly and professionally. Most issues can be resolved through open communication and reasonable accommodation. If direct resolution is not possible, we agree to participate in good-faith mediation before pursuing other remedies. Disputes are subject to New Zealand law and jurisdiction.

Refund Processing

Approved refunds will be processed within 14 business days of refund approval. Refunds will be issued to the original payment method used for the service. If the original payment method is no longer available, alternative arrangements will be made. You will receive email confirmation once your refund has been processed.

Service Modifications

If circumstances change during the design process, we can often modify service scope to better meet your needs. Modifications may result in adjusted fees based on additional or reduced work required. All modifications must be agreed upon in writing before implementation. Contact us to discuss potential service adjustments.

Seasonal Considerations

Garden design and implementation timing often depends on seasonal factors in New Zealand. While we can provide designs year-round, optimal planting windows may vary by season. We will advise on the best timing for your specific project. Service delays due to waiting for appropriate planting seasons do not constitute grounds for cancellation or refund.
